Swap XRP to Ethereum. No account, no KYC.

CoinVast swaps XRP to ETH in one payment: paste an Ethereum address, send XRP with the destination tag we show, and after 1 confirmation, about a minute, we screen the deposit, exchange it at a 0.5% floating or 1.0% fixed spread, and send ETH to your wallet.

The XRP Ledger does one job and does it stubbornly well: move value fast, for almost nothing, without drama. By design it never grew the sprawl of apps, tokens, and on-chain casinos that other chains collect. Ethereum is the opposite animal, a city where every block has a thousand things happening in it. Swapping XRP for ETH is not picking a winner. It is needing the other tool today.

The most common trigger is small and extremely practical: you need gas. Everything on Ethereum costs ETH to touch, and a wallet holding tokens but zero ETH is a museum. You can see your assets, you just cannot move them. If your liquid funds happen to be sitting in XRP, this pair turns some of them into working gas money in about a quarter of an hour.

It is a quick trip because XRP is quick. The ledger closes every few seconds and a validated transaction is final, no reorgs, so we need just 1 confirmation, which we count as about a minute. Ethereum mints a block every 12 seconds, so the payout lands fast too. Most swaps here finish in 5 to 15 minutes.

Two mechanical notes before you start. First, include the destination tag we show when you send your XRP, since that tag ties the deposit to your order. Second, the payout address must be an Ethereum address you control, starting with 0x. The card prints the spread and network fee before anything moves.

Pair facts

XRPETH, by the numbers

You send
XRP (XRP) on the XRP Ledger network.
You receive
Ethereum (ETH) on the Ethereum network, at an address you control.
Deposit confirmations
1 on XRP Ledger. At roughly 1-minute blocks, that is about 1 minute of waiting before the exchange starts.
Minimum swap
5 XRP. Below that, network fees would eat too much of the swap to be worth it.
Spread
0.5%, printed on the quote next to the payout network fee. There is no deposit fee.
Typical total time
About 5 to 15 minutes from sending your XRP to ETH arriving at your address.
Deposit tag
XRP deposits need the destination tag we show next to the deposit address. Skip it and the deposit may not be credited.

Confirmation counts and minimums above are the live values our exchange engine uses, not marketing copy. Block times are network averages and can vary.

How it works for this pair

Three steps. One of them is just waiting.

  1. 01

Set the amount, paste your ETH address

Choose how much XRP you are sending. The card quotes your ETH payout with the spread and network fee already counted in. Paste the Ethereum address the payout should land at, plus an optional XRP refund address in case the swap cannot complete.

  2. 02

    Send one XRP payment

You get a deposit address on the XRP Ledger network. Send your XRP to it from any wallet, in one payment of at least 5 XRP. No account, no email, nothing to install.

  3. 03

    Watch the order page

Your deposit needs 1 confirmation on XRP Ledger, about 1 minute. We screen it before the exchange starts, then send ETH to your address and post the transaction hash on your order page.

The longer story

Why people move XRP into ETH

Gas money, the unglamorous classic. Token approvals, claiming an airdrop, moving an old NFT, bridging to an L2: every one of these costs ETH and accepts nothing else. Converting a slice of XRP into ETH is how a stranded 0x wallet starts working again. It is the crypto equivalent of putting fuel in the car, and it is probably the single most common reason this page gets visited.

Getting where the apps are. The XRP Ledger keeps its feature set lean on purpose, which is great for payments and limiting for everything else. Lending markets, DEXs with deep liquidity, stablecoin rails, staking infrastructure: that economy lives on Ethereum and the layer 2s that settle to it. If you want to use those, you need the asset they run on.

Rotating into the second-largest asset. Some XRP holders simply diversify, and ETH is the obvious second pillar after Bitcoin: the largest smart contract chain, a staking yield baked into the protocol, and a decade of surviving its own upgrades. Honest footnote: ETH is volatile too, and rotation is a bet, not a savings plan. We move the coins either way; the conviction is yours.

A word of caution worth its paragraph: send the payout to an address you control, never to a smart contract address someone gave you, and not to a contract at all unless you know exactly why. ETH sent to the wrong contract is gone in a way support tickets cannot fix. And remember Ethereum's fees breathe: most days the network is cheap, but at peak moments gas spikes, so the ETH you receive buys more transactions on a quiet Sunday than during a frenzy.

We launched CoinVast in 2026 to make these cross-ecosystem hops one payment instead of an exchange account. Screening runs before the exchange starts: your XRP either proceeds at the quoted terms or returns to your refund address minus the network fee. The order page tracks both hashes, start to finish.

Questions

XRP to ETH, asked and answered

How long does an XRP to ETH swap take?

Usually 5 to 15 minutes end to end. Your XRP deposit needs just 1 confirmation, about a minute, because the XRP Ledger settles in seconds with instant finality. The exchange takes seconds more, and the ETH payout is typically mined within a minute, since Ethereum produces a block every 12 seconds. This is one of the fastest corridors we run.

Why does XRP need only 1 confirmation when other coins need more?

Because the XRP Ledger does not reorganize. Its consensus finalizes each ledger as it closes, every few seconds, so a validated transaction cannot be rolled back the way a freshly mined Bitcoin block can. Confirmation counts exist to guard against reorgs, and XRP simply does not have them. One validated ledger is settled, full stop.

What is the destination tag, and do I really need it?

Yes, really. The tag shown next to your deposit address is how we match your XRP payment to your order. Every XRP wallet has a field for it. Send without the tag and the deposit arrives unmatched: the swap stalls until you contact support with your transaction hash. It gets sorted, but it turns a 10-minute swap into a day. Copy the tag.

Can I send the ETH payout to an exchange deposit address?

Technically yes, any valid 0x address works. But two cautions. First, you just did a no-KYC swap, and parking the result behind an exchange login undoes the point. Second, never use a smart contract address as the payout target. Exchange deposit addresses are fine on this front, but ETH sent to a random contract can be unrecoverable. A wallet you control is the clean answer.

Is the rate fixed or floating?

The card quotes our floating rate, a 0.5% spread filled at the market price when your deposit confirms. With an XRP deposit confirming in about a minute, the market barely has time to move between quote and fill, so floating is the natural fit here. A fixed rate at a 1.0% spread exists at the API level for integrations that need the number locked at creation.

What is the minimum XRP to ETH swap?

5 XRP. Below that, fees take too big a bite to be worth anyone's time. Also remember the ledger's base reserve: every XRP account keeps 1 XRP locked, so you cannot send your full balance. A wallet holding 6 XRP can send 5 at most. On the receiving side there is no minimum beyond the swap itself; even small amounts of ETH arrive fine.

Do I need an account or ID to swap XRP to ETH?

No. No sign-up, no email, no KYC under the screening threshold. Paste your Ethereum address, send one tagged XRP payment, and bookmark the order page, which is your receipt and tracker in one. Screening happens before the exchange begins: pass and it proceeds, fail and your XRP returns to your refund address.
