Swap Ethereum to USD Coin. No account, no KYC.

CoinVast swaps ETH to USDC in one payment: paste an Ethereum address, send ETH, and after 12 confirmations, about 3 minutes, we screen the deposit, exchange it at a 0.5% spread, and send USD Coin straight to your wallet.

Every ETH holder eventually has the Tuesday where they would like part of the position to just stop moving. Selling for actual dollars means a bank, an exchange account, and a customer support ticket waiting to happen. Swapping into a stablecoin means one payment. And USDC is the stablecoin people pick when they care who stands behind the dollar: Circle publishes monthly reserve attestations and operates inside US regulation, which is exactly the paperwork some holders want their parked money to have.

This is also the rare swap where both assets live on the same chain. ETH and USDC here are both Ethereum natives, so the USD Coin can land in the very wallet that sent the deposit. No new network to learn, no second wallet to install, no bridge anxiety. One asset in your address gets replaced by another, minus the spread and the network fee, both of which the card prints before you send.

Speed is decent too. An ETH deposit needs 12 confirmations, which at 12-second blocks is about 3 minutes. The exchange takes seconds and the ERC-20 payout confirms shortly after it goes out. Most orders complete in 5 to 20 minutes, which is faster than most exchange withdrawals manage on a good day.

No account, no email, no custody beyond the minutes the swap is in flight. The order page holds the amounts, the rate, and both transaction hashes. Bookmark it and you have a receipt that would make an accountant nod.

Pair facts

ETHUSDC, by the numbers

You send
Ethereum (ETH) on the Ethereum network.
You receive
USD Coin (USDC) on the Ethereum (ERC-20) network, at an address you control.
Deposit confirmations
12 on Ethereum. At roughly 12-second blocks, that is about 3 minutes of waiting before the exchange starts.
Minimum swap
0.005 ETH. Below that, network fees would eat too much of the swap to be worth it.
Spread
0.5%, printed on the quote next to the payout network fee. There is no deposit fee.
Typical total time
About 5 to 20 minutes from sending your ETH to USDC arriving at your address.

Confirmation counts and minimums above are the live values our exchange engine uses, not marketing copy. Block times are network averages and can vary.

How it works for this pair

Three steps. One of them is just waiting.

  1. 01

Set the amount, paste your USDC address

Choose how much ETH you are sending. The card quotes your USDC payout with the spread and network fee already counted in. Paste the Ethereum (ERC-20) address the payout should land at, plus an optional ETH refund address in case the swap cannot complete.

  2. 02

    Send one ETH payment

You get a deposit address on the Ethereum network. Send your ETH to it from any wallet, in one payment of at least 0.005 ETH. No account, no email, nothing to install.

  3. 03

    Watch the order page

Your deposit needs 12 confirmations on Ethereum, about 3 minutes. We screen it before the exchange starts, then send USDC to your address and post the transaction hash on your order page.

The longer story

Why people move ETH into USDC

Taking profit without the bank detour. ETH ran up, and some of the gain should probably become a number that holds still. Converting to USDC locks the dollar value while keeping everything on-chain and ready to redeploy. No fiat off-ramp, no settlement delays, no explaining to a bank why money arrived from a crypto exchange. The round trip back into ETH, whenever conviction returns, is one payment in the other direction.

Budgeting for people who earn in ETH. Contract developers, auditors, NFT artists, DAO contributors: plenty of people invoice in ETH and then owe rent in something stable. Moving next month's expenses into USDC right after payday means the grocery budget no longer depends on the candle chart. It is the on-chain version of not keeping your salary in lottery tickets.

The attestation preference. USDT is the bigger stablecoin, but USDC is the one with monthly reserve attestations, a US-regulated issuer, and first-class status across blue-chip DeFi. Businesses that settle invoices on-chain, US-facing platforms, and treasuries with a compliance officer in the room tend to name USDC specifically. If your counterparty wants Circle's dollar, this corridor delivers it without an exchange account in the middle.

And the honest paragraph. USDC is an IOU from Circle, not a bank balance. Circle can freeze addresses, and the coin fell to the high 80 cents over one weekend in March 2023 when Silicon Valley Bank, holding part of the reserves, collapsed. It recovered within days, but the lesson stands: a stablecoin is a claim on a company, with company risks attached. Hold it knowing that, and it remains an excellent place for money that needs to sit still.

We launched CoinVast in 2026 to make one-off conversions like this quick and unceremonious. Every deposit is screened before the exchange starts, so your ETH either proceeds at the quoted terms or returns to your refund address. No mid-swap freezes, no surprise document requests, and a completed swap is final.

Questions

ETH to USDC, asked and answered

How long does an ETH to USDC swap take?

Usually 5 to 20 minutes end to end. Your Ethereum deposit needs 12 confirmations, about 3 minutes at 12-second blocks. The exchange itself takes seconds, and the USDC payout is an ERC-20 transfer that typically confirms within a minute or two of being sent. There is no slow leg on this pair, which is what happens when both assets live on a chain with fast blocks.

Is the rate fixed or floating?

The quote floats with the market and carries our 0.5% spread, filling at the rate when your deposit confirms about 3 minutes after you send. That is a short window, so the drift between quote and fill is usually small change. A fixed-rate mode with a 1.0% spread exists at our API level for integrations that need the number locked in advance. Since you are converting into a dollar asset, the floating rate is the better deal most days.

Why USDC instead of USDT?

USDC comes with monthly reserve attestations and a US-regulated issuer, which is why compliance-minded businesses and most blue-chip DeFi prefer it. USDT has deeper liquidity in much of the world and the longer track record. Neither is objectively the right answer, and we run corridors into both, so the choice stays with you. If the party you are paying named a specific coin, that decides it for you.

Can the USDC go to the same wallet that sent the ETH?

Yes, and that is the most common setup. Both assets use standard Ethereum addresses, so you can paste your own sending address as the payout target and watch the USDC appear where the ETH used to be. Two cautions: paste the raw 0x address rather than an ENS name, since the card validates the hex format, and avoid pointing the payout at an exchange deposit address, which would put your freshly un-KYCed dollars right back behind a verification desk.

Can I receive USDC on Base instead?

Yes. The card lets you switch the payout network to Base, where transfers cost a fraction of mainnet fees. The address format is identical 0x, but the network is not interchangeable: make sure the receiving wallet or service explicitly supports USDC on Base before picking it. For self-custody wallets this is usually a non-issue. For deposits to platforms, check first and save yourself a support ticket.

What is the minimum ETH to USDC swap?

0.005 ETH. Below that, the payout network fee starts eating a share of the swap that we would be embarrassed to charge. There is no upper limit wired into the card, though unusually large deposits can get a human review before the exchange starts, never after it completes. A small first swap to inspect the receipts is a perfectly good way to size us up.

Do I need an account or ID to swap ETH to USDC?

No. No sign-up, no email, no KYC under the screening threshold. Paste an address, send one payment, and bookmark the order page as your receipt. Screening runs before the exchange begins: pass and it proceeds, fail and your ETH returns to your refund address minus the network fee. One practical note: many countries treat a crypto-to-stablecoin swap as a taxable disposal, and the order page shows exactly the amounts, rate, and hashes a tax tool wants.
